Jill and Richard Getting Engaged
The actual event - Right by the pool.
Here is the story to go with the video...
We went to Camelback Resort in Scottsdale for the weekend. After her massage and my golf round we were hanging by the pool. I was playing with my cameras like I always do and I started to video Jill, the geek I am. Anyway, I started to take video and then she started to shoot some of me. I said I wanted to swim and she should come sit by the side of the pool and continue to shoot. We started to move to the edge of the pool and one of the guys from the hotel took the camera, on my behest (he was in on it), and started to shoot Jill and me. So me, with my shirt on and shorts (actually swim trunks, but she did not know), jumped into the pool in front of her, sitting on the edge. I yipped, "I have my stuff in the pockets", making her think I pulled a "dorf". As I pull the stuff out of my pockets and she is grabbing for it, I put a box in her hand (with a ziplock around it), She looks at it, looks at me, looks at it and takes that extra - PRICELESS - second to realize what it is. She says "ohhh, myyyy god" and I say some mushy stuff and ask her to open it. She opens it, I ask her (in a high pitched voice) to be my wife - she answers "You BETCHA!" and we hug, with her on the edge and me in the pool (kind of kneeling). We had a wonderful romantic dinner that night and we are on our way!

Needless to say she loves the ring and we have started to plan the wedding.

Gina and Richard Swing Performance
A Swing Performance, - Gina and I, with my Dad in attendance and Warren manning the video camera were invited to perform at a charity event to raise money for a school. They were highlighting clothing from various periods of time and we joined the 20's with our Zoot Suit and period dress, while dancing a swing. Ella Fitzgerald provided us the tune - Sing Me a Swing Song (and let me dance).

VFW Tango Performance

The whole dance group
A Salsa Performance, Salsa Casina Ruedia (SCR) (sp?) - Performed at the VFW in Edison in Spring 2000. SCR is a group dance where we share partners based on a "call" by the caller. This happens to be Brandise. She vocally and visual (with a hand sign) tells us what to do next. This was performed in the movie Dance with Me, if you ever get the chance to see it. There are literally hundreds of calls. We knew about 30.

These are SO well done, it is amazing they haven't won America's Funnest Home Videos! They look like Star Wars, but they are done to the 'bad boys' theme of 'Cops' - filmed on location in a Galaxy far far away!
